The IKA Pette vario 100 – 1000 µl is engineered for professional laboratory environments where reliability and long-term durability are essential. It operates on the air-displacement principle and is constructed with high-performance materials, including a DLC-coated (Diamond-Like Carbon) stainless steel piston and tip cone. This specialized coating provides high levels of wear and corrosion resistance, ensuring consistent performance and reducing the frequency of re-greasing.
To prevent hand fatigue during prolonged use, the pipette includes three interchangeable handles (small, medium, and large), allowing users to adapt the tool to their specific hand size and grip style. The volume is adjusted in two stages (coarse and fine) using a central multifunction button that also serves as a secure volume lock and tip ejector. The unit is color-coded blue, fully autoclavable at 121°C, and features a large, clear display for process-safe volume reading.
