The Whirl-Pak® Meat and Poultry Carcass Sampling Kit is a best-seller in the protein industry, specifically designed to support regulatory compliance and accurate testing for the presence of E. coli on meat and poultry carcasses. This complete, sterilized kit simplifies the sampling process and ensures reliable, contamination-free results. Each kit includes: 1 Whirl-Pak® Speci-Sponge® Bag for secure, leak-proof collection Buffered Peptone Water (25 ml) with marked expiration date Two Disposable Sterile Templates: 10 × 10 cm for meat carcasses, 5 × 10 cm for poultry 1 Pair of Sterile Polyethylene Gloves (Size Large) The disposable heavy paper templates form to carcass contours, eliminating the need to sanitize reusable templates, saving both time and cost. Gloves and templates are packaged in a sealed bag with an easy-open perforation for convenience. Following USDA protocols, the sponge is moistened with half the peptone water, used to swab the carcass through the template, then returned to the bag with the remaining solution for transport and analysis.
