It operates on the air-displacement principle and utilizes a DLC-coated (Diamond-Like Carbon) stainless steel piston and tip cone. This coating provides extreme surface hardness and ultra-low friction, ensuring that the pipetting force remains minimal and consistent over time, while also protecting against corrosion.
One of its most unique features is the interchangeable handle system. Each pipette comes with three different grips (small, medium, and large) to adapt the device to the user’s specific hand size, reducing strain during long sessions. The volume is adjusted in two stages (coarse and fine) using a multifunction button that also functions as a secure volume lock and tip ejector. The unit is color-coded gray, fully autoclavable at 121°C, and features a large, clear display for easy reading from any angle.
