Ika Twister Set 3
The IKA Twister Set 3 is a modular laboratory mixing system comprising three high-performance magnetic stirrers powered from a single supply. With a sleek, ultra-compact design, touch-sensitive glass controls, and stirring speeds of up to 3000 rpm, it enables synchronized or independent mixing of multiple samples while maximizing bench space efficiency.
Description
Description
The Twister Set 3 is engineered for laboratories that routinely process multiple samples and demand flexibility without the bulk of conventional multi-position stirrers. The set includes three individual Twister drive units that can be connected using a leader–follower architecture, allowing one unit to control the others or enabling each stirrer to run its own program.
Its chemically resistant glass surface and IP66 protection rating ensure reliable operation in humid environments, easy decontamination under running water, and suitability for use inside incubators or confined laboratory spaces.
Main Features
Triple-Position Mixing System
Includes three magnetic stirring drives powered by a single supply (capable of supporting up to four units), allowing simultaneous mixing of multiple samples.
High-Speed & High-Torque Performance
Delivers stirring speeds up to 3000 rpm, significantly exceeding standard magnetic stirrers and supporting viscosities up to 500 mPas.
Intelligent Vessel Detection
Automatically starts stirring when a glass vessel is placed on the surface and pauses operation when the vessel is removed.
360° LED Control Interface
A circular LED ring provides intuitive visual feedback for speed, power, and operational status without a conventional display.
Automatic Reverse Rotation
Periodically changes stirring direction to improve homogenization of viscous or difficult-to-mix samples.
Extreme Durability & Washdown Safety
Fully sealed, dust-tight, and resistant to powerful water jets (IP66), with a high-strength, chemically resistant glass top plate.
Scalable Modular Ecosystem
Can be expanded by linking additional Twister units, forming a multi-position system with up to 30 interconnected stirrers.
