The Hach Solitax® sc Turbidity & Suspended Solids Sensors are engineered for precise, color-independent measurement of turbidity and total suspended solids (TSS) across the water, wastewater, beverage, industrial, and power generation sectors. Built for both immersion and inline installations, the Solitax sc series offers unmatched accuracy and durability for critical process monitoring.
Using dual infrared beams and nephelometric detection at 90°, Solitax sensors ensure stable, reliable measurement regardless of sample color. Select models include a 140° backscatter detector, enabling accurate monitoring of heavily loaded streams with high suspended solids content. The integrated self-cleaning wiper prevents fouling, biological buildup, and gas bubble interference, ensuring the sensor remains low maintenance and dependable over long operating periods.
Solitax sc sensors demonstrate excellent correlation to laboratory TSS and turbidity results, providing valuable real-time data that enhances operational efficiency, reduces manual analysis time, and optimizes chemical dosage, digester performance, and sludge handling costs.
Unlike conventional sealed sensors, Solitax sc models are fully serviceable, extending sensor lifespan significantly. Calibration is fast and straightforward, requiring only a simple correction factor procedure and ensuring long-term stability through factory calibration (DIN EN ISO 7027).
Compatible with Hach SC4500, SC200, and SC1000 controllers, this multi-parameter platform allows multiple sensors to be connected and managed simultaneously for streamlined process control. The Solitax sc line supports a wide measurement range—from 0.001 NTU to 4000 NTU for turbidity and up to 500 g/L for suspended solids—making it ideal for both low-level drinking water applications and high-solids industrial streams.
Available in stainless steel or PVC for immersion or inline installation, the Solitax sc sensors are built with rugged materials, IP68 protection, and an operating temperature range of 0–40°C.
