TSS HT sc Suspended Solids Sensors for high temperature media
The Hach TSS HT sc is a high-temperature turbidity and suspended solids sensor designed for demanding industrial and wastewater applications. With a multi-beam pulsed infrared optical system, it delivers accurate, color-independent measurements from 0.001 NTU to 9999 NTU and 0.001 to 500 g/L. Built to withstand temperatures up to 90 °C and pressures up to 10 bar, the TSS HT sc connects directly to all Hach SC controllers for fast installation and reliable real-time monitoring.
Description
Description
The Hach TSS HT sc sensor provides precise, continuous monitoring of suspended solids (TSS) and turbidity, even under the harshest process conditions. Designed for industrial applications where high temperatures, fluctuating loads, and strict regulatory requirements are common, this robust probe delivers exceptional stability and accuracy across a wide measurement range.
Equipped with a unique multi-beam pulsed infrared optical system, the TSS HT sc uses two IR LEDs and four receivers to ensure highly accurate, color-independent measurement. This advanced optical design enables the probe to cover the full spectrum—from ultra-low turbidity levels (0.001 NTU) to extremely high suspended solids concentrations (up to 500 g/L).
To ensure reliable data in dynamic environments, the TSS HT sc includes special software algorithms that automatically compensate for air bubbles and temperature fluctuations, significantly improving measurement accuracy.
Designed for longevity, the probe features a highly polished stainless-steel body and a scratch-resistant sapphire optical window, preventing particle adhesion and ensuring stable operation in abrasive and high-temperature processes. The TSS HT sc withstands temperatures up to 90 °C and pressures up to 10 bar, making it ideal for hot industrial streams, digesters, and high-load wastewater applications.
Calibration is simple: turbidity is factory-calibrated (ISO 7027 compliant), and solids measurement requires only a quick one-point calibration on site. For more specific applications, multi-point calibration curves can also be configured.
The TSS HT sc integrates seamlessly with Hach SC200, SC1000, and SC4500 controllers, enabling plug-and-play installation, multi-parameter configurations, and advanced diagnostics. Available in an immersion design, it supports straightforward installation in tanks, channels, and basins.
Built for reliability, ease of use, and long-term accuracy, the Hach TSS HT sc is an ideal solution for operators requiring continuous, real-time monitoring of suspended solids and turbidity in challenging process conditions.
