The IKA Pette fix 250 µl is engineered for professional laboratory environments where reliability and long-term durability are essential. It utilizes an air-displacement principle and is constructed with high-performance materials; while lower volume models feature DLC coating, the larger 250 µl model utilizes a PPSU (polysulfone) piston and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) cone for superior chemical resistance and stiffness.
To accommodate different users and prevent hand fatigue, the pipette includes three interchangeable handles (small, medium, and large) made of various materials. The unit is color-coded blue for easy identification, is fully autoclavable at 121°C, and features a large, clear mechanical display. For smart inventory management, a QR code on the housing allows for quick scanning of serial numbers and calibration data.
